Steve Mitchell
Steve Mitchell has participated in the music
industry on a professional level since his
graduation from Austin Peay State University
in the year 1975.
His years of musical experience began
in 1975 working with one of Nashville’s
premier event booking agencies Bobby
Smith Productions. Steve began his career
by working with local acts such as Motown
Records’ “Bottom and Company” as well
as national acts such as “K.C. and the
Sunshine Band” and “Rufus featuring
Chaka Kahn,” securing valuable experience
in talent management and concert promotion.
Steve also worked as a musician and manager of several regional music groups from 1975 to 1995 including the locally popular group “Cruise Control” which became one of Nashville’s premier society and nightclub acts of the 1980’s.
From 1980 through 1987 Steve worked for Gaylord/Opryland Resort as well as the Let Us Entertain You Artist Agency furthering his promotions, talent buying, and production experience.
From 1987 through 2015 Steve Mitchell owned and managed his own entertainment production company, TMG Production Services, LLC. Locally, TMG provided equipment for venues such as The Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Bridgestone Arena, The Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Vanderbilt University, and The Belcourt Theater. Nationally, TMG Production Services supplied production services to artists as varied as Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Jimmy Buffet, Liza Manelli, Shinedown, and Kings of Leon.
In 2016 Steve Mitchell created Event Logistics and Consulting, LLC. Much like TMG Production Services, ELC provides audio, lighting, video, staging, and backline equipment for national recording artists, corporate events, and music festivals throughout the nation. However, with the creation of ELC comes an expanded focus and concentration on specialty events, high-society galas, functions for the wealthy and affluent, corporate executives, exclusive gatherings, political soirées and almost any elite and society event imaginable. ELC is available to corporate event planners, private society planners and event producers, or
ELC can act as your overall event manager and contractor for your event, as well.
Steve has over forty years of music-related and entertainment expertise in the fields of talent booking, management, production, site management, concert production and artist relations.
